Hi y’all. If you read my other blog Rachael from the Sideview, you know I have my palm out, waiting for your contributions. Literally.
- Before
- After
No one likes to be asked for money. I know that.
So in this post, I’ll put my hands in my own pockets and ask just for your affection.
Hear me out:
On Sunday, October 30, Devan Infiniti staffers, friends and family will be walking in the American Cancer Society Devan Infiniti Striders team at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport.
Our team is raising money for the American Cancer society to put towards people getting well, staying well, finding a cure and fighting back. (Click here if you would like to donate to our team, tax deductible, and matched by Devan Infiniti up to $5,000).
So far we’ve raised about $360 with a goal of $1,000 (unmatched). When all is said and done, Devan Infiniti will be matching donations, up to $5,000.
Now here’s the fun part. Here’s how you can give without spending a cent: “like” Devan Infiniti of Fairfield on Facebook.
This morning I had 394 Facebook “fans.” For each fan I get between now and October 29, I’ll donate 10¢ to our Devan Infiniti Striders team, up to $50. When Devan Infiniti matches it, that donation becomes $100.
All you have to do is “like” the Devan Infiniti of Fairfield Facebook page, if you haven’t already, and suggest that your Facebook friends do the same by posting it on your wall with this message: “Let’s see Rachael dig into her own pockets. Like this page and for each new fan between now and Oct 29, she’ll donate 10¢, up to $50, to be matched by Devan Infiniti.”
This way you can contribute money to the cause and not spend anything. It’s a win-win, is it not?
Come on, like me. You know you want to.
